4-30-11 - More New Goodies

Thanks to someone posting on Facebook I finally found a place that has POTC. Yeaah

So from POTC I got

Silver Shatter - of course :)

Mermaid's Tears - This is a really pretty seafoam green creme, I've been wanting a color like this for a really long time.

Planks Alot - This is a medium purple creme. Of course my camera makes it look bluer than it is. Its actually a kind of orchid color. Have I mentioned how much a hate my camera.

I also picked up Teenage Dream from the Katy Perry Collection. This is a pink glitter with bigger holo glitter pieces. I really like this because there was really great coverage of the bigger glitter pieces during application. I'm really glad I picked this one up.

Now that I've gotten all of these new polishes, I need to start using them. And these polishes bring me up to 301. I only need 43 more bottles to put me back where I was before the purge.

4-30-11 - More New Goodies

So I was out wondering around today trying to see if anyone had the OPI POTC Collection and Shatter Collection yet, but I didn't find either. But I did not come back empty handed. :)

While I was at Beauty Brand I picked a few things

OPI - Perfectly Red - This is a classic red, and it was on sale for $2.00 can't beat that.

OPI - DS Opulence - This is a rosy pink scattered holo. I really like this one

OPI - DS Extravagance - This is a raspberry colored scattered holo. This color totally rocks even though its not a linear holo ;)

Then I stopped by Big Lots and found a couple of packs of nail art polish. I'm hoping maybe this will work better for me with the stamping. I got a black, a red shimmer, gold glitter, opal shimmer, dark blue and purple shimmer. I do not count nail art polishes or base and top coats towards the total count so these won't be counted.

4-29-11 - Lots of New Goodies

So yesterday most of my Zoya Nail Exchange Order arrived but I was down with nasty migraine so I didn't check a chance to put anything up. I am still waiting for Savita which is now off backorder Yeah.

Verushcka - This is a really pretty forest green shimmer matte.

Sloane - This is a burgundy shimmer - I seem to be getting a lot of burgundy lately

Freja - This is a gunmetal shimmer with multi micro glitter

Rea - This is an awesome purple metallic/foil

Anatashia - This is a plummy color shimmer with gold micro glitter

Dovima - This is a black shimmer with multi micro glitter matte, although in the pic it has more shine than in real life

Sally Hansen - Pink Plink - This is a baby pink creme

4-27-11 - New Goodie

4-27-11 - Today's Mani

I know why I've been so drawn to all of the pink polish I've bought lately. It seems that now On Wednesdays We Wear Pink. If you're wondering what that's all about check out the link on my side bar :) So from now on every Wednesday I'll be rockin pink nails. For the first pink mani I used

Finger Paints - Drawn to You - This is a medium dusty pink shimmer. The coverage and application on this polish is great. Very smooth and completely opaque in 2 coats. The more I use the Finger Paints polishes the more I like them.

For the dots I used Finger Paints Hue Left a Message. This is a medium pink glitter. Its a little too close in color to Drawn To You so it doesn't really stand out much.

And I tried out my new dotting tools. I am a little disappointed though Its a 3 piece set but of the 6 tips, 2 are duplicates so I only really have 4 unique tips. Oh well what can you do.

4-24-11 - Today's Mani

I was just sitting around and decided to do a new mani

China Glaze - Frostbite - This is the best electric blue polish I've seen. I love this color

China Glaze - Fault Line - This is the purple shimmer crackle. I had a bit of a problem with being a bit gloopy so I think its time for a couple of drops of thinner for this one.

This mani looks soooooo way cool in real life. The pic doesn't do it any justice. The pic was taken in bright artificial light with no flash.

4-23-11 - New Goodies

I picked up a couple of new polishes on a quick trip to Ulta

Essie - Steel-Ing The Scene - I don't really know how to describe this one, its a metallic but its not silver or gold. Whatever it is I like it because its unusual.

OPI - Purple With A Purpose - This is a pretty standard medium purple. Because my camera hates photographing purples and always makes them blue, I did adjust the color on this photo to make it the actual color of the polish.

4-23-11 - Today's Mani

Happy Easter to those who celebrate. Today's mani is my Easter mani.

Finger Paints - Aren't You Glad-Iolous - This is a pretty, ver opaque light lavender creme. The application on this was very smooth and its a very creamy polish. It was good to go in one coat but I put just cuz.

OPI - Alpine Snow - this is a very excellent white. It only took two coats to be opaque even on top of the lavender polish.

The flowers are decals that were sent to me by Viva La Nails - So far I have really liked all of the stuff they sent me, although on some of the decals I have noticed they only last a couple of days.

4-22-11 - Today's Mani

For Earth Day I thought I'd go with a green mani.

Zoya - Shawn - This is an olive green. It has very nice coverage, two coats does the trick.

Zoya - Apple - This is a bright green micro glitter with some hint of yellow glitter. Also a two coater that goes on very well.

4-20-11 - Zoya Polish Exchange

For anyone who hasn't heard yet, the Zoya nail polish exchange is up and running. It will be going on from today through April 27 ( 1 week only). Its 4.00 plus a bottle of old nail polish (not Zoya) and they send you a Zoya polish. There is a minimum of 6 polishes to participate and a maximum of 24.

This is what you do. Go on zoya.com put the colors you want in your shopping cart, enter the code EARTHZOYA and that adjusts the price to $4.00 per bottle. Then of course you pay. They send you your polishes. Then once you receive the Zoya polishes, you send them the same amount of old polishes (include your order paperwork in the box so they know what order it goes with). And yes, you are responsible for the shipping costs for the bottles you send them. They then dispose of the old polishes in a eco friendly manner.

I just put my order in for 8 bottles, I can't wait to get them. Weeeeeee

4-19-11 - Today's Mani

Those of you have been following my blog for awhile may remember that a few months ago I did a mani to match my cat Pantera. Today, I've done a mani to match another one of my cats. I call this my Sith mani, as it matches my cat Vader.

OPI - Black Onyx - This is a pretty good black. Its pretty sheer so it takes 2-3 coats to get a good black although its not super black black. It has nice shine though.







Bwaahhaawwaaa - Okay I know, its just plain black big deal, but it does match Vader so what can I say :)

But here is where all of you guys can help me, I've been wanting to do a mani to match the cat in my profile picture, Osiris (Buddy for short), but I can't find the right colors, so any suggestions would be most appreciated.

4-17-11 - Today's Mani

I got down to business and came up with a new mani for today.

Nubar - Barricade - This is a medium gray creme. I really like this color

Nubar - Stronghold - This is a dark gray creme. This too is one of my favorites

Then I added FIMO skulls

This pic was taken without a flash to show the details of the skulls but it doesn't really do justice to the polish colors. I'll try to get some daylight pics in the morning.

4-17-11 - More New Goodies

Yesterday I stopped by a small beauty supply store by my house and hit the jackpot. I got a couple of new polishes, but I found a 3 pc dotting tool kit :) WEEEEEEEEEEE I've been looking for a dotting tool for months and now I have a 3 pc one with 6 different dot sizes to choose from Yeeaaaaa I also got 2 polishes

OPI - Siberian Nights - This is a dark grapey purple.

OPI - Midnight in Moscow - This is a black gel base with tons of burgundy micro glitter.


And then today I went to Ulta and picked up 3 new OPIs


OPI - Alpine Snow - This is a white polish, pretty straight forward

OPI - Royal Rajah Ruby - This is a very deep burgundy shimmer.

OPI - I Juggle ... Men - This is a iridescent micro glitter polish.



It looks like I'm a burgundy kick this week. :) And I promise I'm working on a new mani, but with hair issues going on and I migraine yesterday, I'm a little behind. But there is definitely a new on its way, hopefully tonight :)

Unfortunately the white and light colored wheel swatches don't photograph very well.
