OPI Pamplona Purple, OPI Black Onyx, OPI Goldeneye

OPI was doing this superbowl nail thing on their Facebook, so I went with Pamplona Purple, Black Onyx, Goldeneye. These are older colors that you guys know about. So I'll just show the picked. Topped with Seche Vite.

One fun thing I picked up all six of the China Glaze Glitz Bitz & Pieces collection, so I'll be using these fund glitters over the next days.

Gosh - Galaxy

This is a polish that was gifted to me by someone in Canada. I've never used this brand before, but I really like it.

Its a bit hard to describe though, its a bronzish brown with pink, blue, green gold and purple glitter in a foil finish. I really like this polish a lot. Its a bit sheer and required three coats, but went on very smoothly.

Then I decided to use a technique I just learned about called Water Spotting. This is the first time I've tried it and came up with a lot of different designs. I originally saw this on Orly's Facebook page and then followed this video on YouTube by cutepolish. I used the alcohol like they talked about on the Facebook page, but I think next time I'm going to try the hand sanitizer. I used China Glaze Liquid Leather for the black.

OPI - Chick Flick Cherry

Sorry I haven't had a new mani in awhile, I've fighting bronchitis this past week and just felt up to doing my nails.

For today I have OPI Chick Flick Cherry - This is an older polish that's part of the Classics. Its a blood red creme with really great application and coverage. I love this shade of red.

China Glaze Tranzitions - Shape Shifter

I still hate my camera and I still haven't found one that I want to buy. But I do love this polish.

China Glaze - Shape Shifter - This goes on as a grayish purple shimmer. When top coat is added it turns into a grapy purple shimmer. I did a v-gap design on this using Out The Door Northern Lights - Gold. Unfortunately you can't see it very well in the pic.

Essie Shift Power and Essie Wrapped In Rubies

For today I have a mani with a couple of older polishes.

Essie - Shift Power - This is a gold metallic polish. I really like this polish. Its a bit sheer but is good in three coats.

Essie - Wrapped In Rubies - This is a dark red shimmer with gold sparkles. Even though this is an older polish, this is the first time I've used it. I didn't get a really good feel for it with this particular mani but I really like the polish and will be using it again.

China Glaze - Metallic Metamorphosis

I really have my camera. Now that I've gotten that out of my system.

Today I have the first of my China Tranzitions. This is Metallic Metamorphosis. This is a silver shimmer polish and then when the top coat is added it becomes a gunmetal color. This is a really fun idea. I like watching it turn color as the topcoat dries. I used Out The Door on this for the Color Change. I also added Layla Virtual Violet holo to match the outfit I wore today. I will be using the other Tranzitions over the next week or so.

I'm just sorry that my camera didn't do a better job of getting a good pic of this, because its really very nice in real life. If I do say so myself :)

I will try to work on the lighting in my work room and the settings on my camera to try to bring you better pictures. I've been checking out cameras so hopefully I'll find one I like very soon.

OPI - Get Your Number

Today I have the last of the four OPI Liquid Sand Polishes. This is Get Your Number. A sheer light blue base with lots of holo glitter. I think this one may be my favorite. I put it on top of Wet N Wild Black Creme. I used Seche Vite on Black Creme and no top coat on Get Your Number.

If you like the liquid sand concept but wish there was more variety. Zoya is now taking pre-orders on their take on it, called Pixie Dust. They are offering six colors, all of which are very different than the once offered by OPI. I'm hoping that as the year goes on, OPI will be adding liquid sand shades to the other collections that come out.

I picked up all six of the new China Glaze Tranzition polishes. These are polishes that dry matte and then change colors when you put a top coat on. It actually looks pretty cool to watch them turn color. Some of them work better than others. It seems that the creams work better than the shimmers.

Split Perso-Nail-Ity - This is a light rosy pink that changes to a darker pink. The transformation on this one is pretty good.

Shape Shifter - This is a grayish purple shimmer that changes to a dark purple.

Modify Me - This is a kind of a light bluish periwinkle that changes to medium blue

Metallic Metamorphosis - This is a silver shimmer that change to a gunmetal shimmer

Altered Reality - This is a teal shimmer. This one works the least well. It only gets a little bit darker.

Duplicity - This is a minty green that turns to a nice grassish green.

I'm looking forward to trying all of these. And all of the colors are pretty by themselves without the color changing.

OPI - The Impossible

For today I have the third of the OPI Liquid Sand polishes.

OPI - The Impossible. This is a sheer red base with dark red hex glitter and red star glitter. I didn't get any of the star glitter on this mani.

I used OPI Color So Hot It Berns as my base - This is a nice bright red polish.

On top of Color So Hot it Berns I used Wet N Wild Fergie - Make Them Boys Go Loco - This is a sheer black base with medium red hex glitter and small red glitter. I have to say the glitter delivery on this polish was very good.

So in end I ended up with double red glitter in both the Make Them Boys Go Loco and in The Impossible.

I used Seche Vite on top of Color So Hot It Berns and Make Them Boys Go Loco and no top coat on The Impossible.

OPI - Can't Let Go

Hope everyone is having a good New Year. Today I have another liquid sand polish. Just a note about Stay The Night. It came off super easy just like regular polish.

Now on today's mani.

I used Can't Let Go - This is a sheer purple base with lighter medium hex glitter and darker small glitter. I put it on top of OPI Purple with A Purpose. I used Seche Vite on Purple With a Purpose. No top coat on Can't Let Go.
