OPI Pink of Hearts 2012 - Pink Wednesday

I picked up OPI's Breast Cancer Awareness set,  so I thought I'd go ahead and use it today.   I have some friends who are breast cancer survivors and I lost my mom 30 years ago when she was 38 to a different type of cancer and my dad is currently in treatment (radiation and chemo) for throat cancer.  So I'd thought I do a mani in support of finding a cure for all of kinds.     And ladies, please be sure to do your monthly self-exam and if you in the age backet, get your mammogram.     Now to the polish

OPI - I Think In Pink -  This is a really sweet light pink.   Its kind of sheer and took three coats for complete opacity but coverage was smooth and I didn't get any streaks on the first or second coat.

OPI - You Glitter Be Good To Me -  This is a glitter polish with small pink glitter pieces and large fucshia hex pieces.  Delivery of the glitter onto the nail was pretty good.

I really like the look for both of these polishes together.

China Glaze - Bond Tastic

It officially fall and I have a fallish mani for today. China Glaze - Bond Tastic - This is from the Magnetix II collection. Its a pretty rust colored polish. Unfortunately the magnetic effect of it isn't very good. I used a powerful magnet from another collection to just to even a little bit of magnetic effect. I couldn't get anything from the China Glaze magnet. Overall great fall color, not so great magnetic effect.

Sephora by OPI It's Real 18K Gold Top Coat and Essie Bahama Mama

Hope its been a good week for everyone.   I have a fun new thing for today, so I'll get right to it.

Essie - Bahama Mama - This is a burgundy/berry creme.  Good application and coverage.  I really like this one.

Here is the new fun thing -  Sephora for OPI It's Real Gold top coat.   This is a top coat with real gold flakes in it.  The delivery of the flakes onto the nail was really good and it gives a fun look.

Just an FYI = both OPI and Zoya have real gold flake top coats coming in Oct/Nov

China Glaze Cracked Medallion and Wet N Wild Black

Hope everyone is having a good week. For today I have

China Glaze - Cracked Medallion - This is a bronze metallic crackle. I'm very happy with the crackle effect I got with this one.

Wet N Wild - Black Creme - I say it every time, the best black polish.

Vivicide Nails

So my son's band Vivicide has a show tomorrow night in Prescott and I'm going up for the show, so I thought I'd do a Vivicide mani. The band's colors are black and white so I went with Wet N Wild Black Creme and White Creme and OPI Black Shatter and White Shatter.

Sinful Colors - Polar Opposites

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. So we have another brand jumping on the magnetic bandwagon. Sinful Colors. Today I have Polar Opposites which is a really cool dark silver magnetic with blue/purple duochrome micro glitter. You can't see the purple flash in the pics, but its there in real life and looks really cool. It looks like all of the Sinful magnetic have some micro glitter, although so far I've only gotten two of them. And one thing I can say about the Sinful magnetics is that the magnet is really nice and strong. Better than the magnets on some of the more expensive brands I have.

Orly Flare, Orly Flicker and Orly Smolder

Hope all of those in the US had a good Labor Day, hope everyone else had a good Monday.

Even though its still summer, I have a bit of a fallish mani for today, and its to date my best attempt at a gradient.

Orly - Flare - This is from the new Fired Up Collection - This is a gold shimmer with tiny bits of green and pink micro glitter. This is a fairly sheer and required three coats which got a little bubbling by the end.

Orly - Flicker- This is also from the Fired Up Collection - This is rusty orange shimmer.

Orly - Smolder - Also from Fired Up - this is a dark red/wine shimmer.

Flicker and Smolder I applied with a sponge so really can't say much about application and coverage. Topped with Out The Door
