I love sparkly and today's mani is very sparkly and a bit Christmasy.
Milani - Golden Goddess - I've had several Milani polishes for quite a while and haven't used them much, but I have to say, I've really under estimated them. Since I've started using them recently, I really like them.
Essie - A-List - this is one of my favorite reds.
Finger Paints - Holly Good Time - this polish is sooooo sparkly, I wish the camera could actually show its sparkliness and do this polish justice. Every time I look at my nails I'm mesmerized by the sparkliness.
OPI - Funky Dunky - I've been wanting this one since the collection came out last Spring but never got around to getting it.
Out the Door - Northern Lights Holo Top Coat (Silver) - so another attempt to find holo glitter. I tried it on just one finger and its another failure. I got absolutely no holo effect. Although it is nice and shiny silver glitter. And since its a top coat I'll save a step whenever I want silver glitter.
Last night I went to Walmart and picked up Pure Ice - Super Star. I have a couple polishes from this brand, one I really like and one I really dislike, so I thought I'd give it one more shot with this one, a dark red micro glitter.
And today, I was at Sally's and saw that Finger Paints has a holiday collection and picked up Holly Good Time. This is a really pretty gold and red glitter. I'm not usually too much into gold or red for that matter but this one really caught my eye. Seeing it made me feel all Christmasy.
Milani - Golden Goddess
Milani - Bijou Bronze
Milani - Brown-A-Licious
Milani - Good Morning Sunshine
I took a little trip to Ulta today, I had a rewards coupon that was good for a salon polish, so I got OPI - Extra-Va-Vaganza from the Burlesque collection. Yeah I love free nail polish. Funny thing, while I was standing in line, I realized that it matched perfectly with the polishes I have one.
LA Splash - Nail Art Glitter in Onyx. I found this at Walgreens this morning. I haven't heard of it or seen it before. The clerk said they just got it in the other day. Basically you polish your nails and then stick your finger in the container while the polish is still wet. I'm just psyched I finally found some black glitter.
China Glaze - from the Holiday Collection - Little Drummer Boy, a dark blue shimmer
China Glaze - from the Holiday Collection - Phat Santa, a blood red polish.
I'm looking forward trying to all of these new goodies.
OPI - Cuckoo for this Color from the Swiss Collection, this is a pretty blue/green shimmer
OPI - Tease-Y Does It from the new Burlesque Collection. I've been looking forward to this color since I first saw the promos for the collection. Is a purple with gold shimmer. Unfortunately when I got home with it, I seems to look very similar to my new Nubar Iced Licorice. Hopefully once on it will be something totally different.
OPI - Suzi Skis the Pyrenees - I actually already have this color, but its almost empty so I thought this would be a good time to replace
OPI - Mancurist of Seville - I don't normally go for the berry colors, but I've been wanting this color for a long time but never got around to getting it.
OPI - Jade is the New Black from the Hong Kong collection. I nice muted green. I'm really starting to get more in green lately
China Glaze - Party Hearty - This is so Christmasy I love it.
So for all you marbling fans, OPI is having a water marbling contest on their Facebook book page. The deadline for submissions is Nov. 19. Just post your pic on their wall and identify the colors you used. They will be picking 10 winners who will receive an OPI T-Shirt.
Essie - Pretty Edgy - I really like the shade of this green. Its very nice and springy, just perfect for an autumn day :) - It goes on nicely although its a little watery, but not too bad. Overall a very nice polish.
L.A. Colors - Black Velvet - This is the first time I've used this brand, and I like it. Its a good black that goes on very opaque and shiny in just one coat.
Today's mani is actually swatches of my 3 new Nubars
Nubar - Indigo Illusion - I really like this polish, the duo effect is great
Nubar - Star Sparkles - I'm really disappointed with this polish. The Nubar website said this was a holo glitter and the picture they have of it has a great holo effect. I got absolutely no holo effect from it. It seems to be just a silver glitter and I have way too many silver glitters.
Nubar - Iced Licorice - I really like this one two. I love the shade of purple and the gold shimmer is awesome.
