China Glaze Cranberry Splash and China Glaze Get Carried

Happy Friday, hope everyone has a good weekend. This one is a little messy, I apologize, I did it really quick last night.

China Glaze - Cranberry Glaze - this is from the new holiday collection. This is a medium red shimmer. This is a pretty polish, although its a bit runny and messy during application.

China Glaze - Get Carried Away - This is from the Cirque Du Soleil collection. There is a lot going on with this polish. Its a sheer black base with medium silver hex, medium black hex, medium red hex, small black, small silver and black bar glitters. Delivery of the glitter is pretty good for the small pieces although it does require a bit of patting for the larger pieces. This is a really fun polish.

While I was out and about today, I unexpectedly but very happily ran into something I've been looking for a long time, actually its been so long that I haven't ever seen it, that I had completely forgotten about it until I did see it. Northern Lights - Gold. I have the silver but this is the first time I've ever seen the gold. ~does a happy dance~

I also picked up a bottle of Seche nail polish just to give it a try.

China Glaze Blue Bells Ring and China Glaze Glistening Snow

Hope everyone is having a good mid-week. Today I have a bit of an early Christmas mani. These are both from China Glaze's holiday collection

Blue Bells Ring - This is a sapphire blue foil polish. This is an awesome polish. It was great in one coat but I did do two just to get it a little darker

Glistening Snow - This is a silver very fine micro glitter with holo pieces. Unfortunately the epic doesn't capture the sparkle it has in real life.

Seche Collage Overlay

After looking for weeks, I was finally able to get a bottle of this polish today.

Essie - Jangle Bangle - This is a lavender creme polish. It has excellent application and coverage. It is very close to being a one coat polish, although I used two just for a little extra coverage.

Wet N Wild - Black Creme - I've talked about this polish a million times, so I'll let it go.

Seche - Collage Overlay - This is a very awesome large white hex glitter, medium prismatic hex glitter and prismatic bar glitter in a sheer base over coat. The deliver of the glitter was a little difficult, patting is definitely needed for this. Other than that this polish is super shiny and glittery. I'm loving it.

China Glaze White Cap

Here is one from last night. Its a little out of the norm of what I usually wear.

China Glaze - White Cap - This is a sheer white shimmer with gold ultra micro glitter. Very good application and coverage.

China Glaze Golden Meringue, China Glaze I Herd That, China Glaze Desert Sun, China Glaze Kalahari Kiss

Here is one I did the other day. I wasn't going to put it up because I hate the way it turned out, but I figured what the heck, may it can be an example of what NOT to do. :)

China Glaze Golden Meringue - This is a very sheer goldish peachy shimmer

China Glaze I Herd That - This is a really pretty bronzy glitter

China Glaze Desert Sun - This is a butterscotchy polish.

China Glaze Kalahari Kiss - The color of this is kind of hard to explain, its a dark creamy color.

No top coat.

Plaid Nails

Hope everyone who is celebrating is having a great Thanksgiving. Well for today I have my first attempt at plaid nails. They didn't turn out as good as I had hoped they would. But anyway, here they are.

I used Wet N Wild White Creme for the base. For the blue and green stripes I used China Glaze Firs Mate and Finger Paints Scenery Greenery. The little yellow stripes are Art Deco striping polish in Yellow.

Sinful Colors Winter Wonder

Happy Thanksgiving Eve to everyone who celebrates. I have a quick one for you today. I did this one really fast last night and I didn't do a real great job on clean.

Sinful Colors - Winter Wonder - This is a sheer dark blue base with pink, green and blue micro glitter. Application and coverage are very good.

China Glaze Creative Fantasy and China Glaze Whirled Away

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. I have a couple from the new China Glaze Cirque Du Soleil collection for you today, in a jelly sandwich.

Creative Fantasy - This is a bright, almost neon, purple jelly. This polish has very good coverage and application even though its pretty sheer.

Whirled Away - This is a glitter polish with large white hex, small black hex and black bar pieces. It is in a clear base. I was really looking forward to this polish when I first saw it because its so unusual in its look, but its a little disappointing in the glitter delivery area. It is very hard to get the glitter on the nail and took me directly placing each piece to get it on. Once on though, I really like the look of it.

Since my camera sucks for taking pictures of purple, I had to adjust the color a bit, and its still not exactly right, Creative Fantasy is a little more red based and bright than the pic shows.

Sinful Colors Mesmerize and Sinful Colors Faceted

Happy Hump Day all, half way finished with the week.

I want to apologize upfront for the really crappy pic. I don't know why my pics always have yellow/orange tint when I don't use the flash. I'm going to have to start looking at cameras although I haven't even had this one for a year yet. It just sucks.

Anyway enough camera rant, here is today's mani.

Sinful Colors - Mesmerize - This is really pretty grapey purple creme. Good coverage and application.

Sinful Color - Faceted - This is a small light purple and holo bar glitter in a thick clear back. Delivery of the glitter onto the nails was actually pretty good, but does require patting it on instead of brushing.

Wet N Wild Bijou Blue and Wet N Wild Black Creme

Hope everyone is having a good week. I'll get right to today's mani

Wet N Wild - Bijou Blue - This is a light blue shimmer polish. I used an undercoat of white on this polish to make it it pop a bit more. I has nice coverage and application for a sheer polish.

Wet N Wild - Black Creme - What can I say, this black rocks.

Zoya - Storm

Hope everyone is having a good week. Today I have one from Zoya's new holiday collection Ornate.

Zoya - Storm - This is a black polish with multi colored holo glitter in it. The is a really nice polish. Application was very smooth. The black is very sheer and requires three coats for good coverage and opacity.

ETA on 11/9/12 - After wearing this polish for a couple of days and being in all different kinds of light, I find it has a super super nice scattered holo effect. Very pretty. Unfortunately I wasn't able to capture it in the pic.

Orly -Torrid

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Today I did a mani I've been wanting to do for quite a long time. Unfortunately, it didn't turn out quite as well as I hoped. But I know what went wrong so next time hopefully it will be better.

Orly - Torrid - This is a bright red shimmer from Orly's 2012 holiday collection, Naughty or Nice. This is a really nice polish with good coverage and application. Perfect in two coats.

Then I topped with Seche Vite. Once it was dry I put a bit of clear polish on the tips and then added a piece of lace. Once the lace was in place I again topped it with Seche Vite.

OPI Skyfall and OPI Goldeneye

Another week over. Woo Hoo. So today I have a couple polishes from the OPI 007 Skyfall collection. I unfortunately couldn't get a great pic of them, so I apologize for the photo.

OPI - Skyfall - This is a maroon/brick red creme. Really nice application and coverage.

OPI - Goldeneye - This is a gold metallic foil with little bits of multi colored micro glitter. This the application on this is good. Its pretty sheer though for a foil even with two coats you could still see Skyfall thought it. That why I couldn't get a great picture. The only way to show it was to take it without a flash. With the flash you couldn't even see it. But it is a really nice shiney gold.
