8/31/10 - Today's Mani

So today I broke out some older polishes I've had for awhile

OPI - Sapphire in the Snow - I love this dark purple, of course I love purple, so what can I say

OPI - A Grape Fit - This is a nice lavendery (I'm making up words again) purple

OPI - Mad As A Hatter - This is from the Alice in Wonderland collection that I bought in a set of minis. I really don't like this polish, its really thick and goopy. I don't know if its because its a mini or what.

8/29/10 - Today's Mani

So I couldn't decide what color to do today, so I just randomly picked a couple and came up with this funky little mani.

OPI - Need Sunglasses - this is a sunshine yellow I've had for a long time but don't use very often.

Sinful - UFO - this is an orange base glitter I bought for Halloween last year and haven't used since.

8/24/10 - Today's Mani

OPI - Suzi Skies the Pyrenees - an old favorite
Wet N Wild - Night Prowl - this is one of the new ones. Its kind of thin and watery but I really like the color
Viva La Nail art products - a very cute butterfly water decal
Nubar Diamont top coat

8/23/10 - Today's Mani

OPI - Ski Teal We Drop - This is a very smooth flowing teal blue from the Swiss Collection. I like it. The pic shows it asa lighter blue than it actually is. Its actually a darker blue teal.

Viva La Nails Nail Art Products - For this one I used the black rhinestones and the little blue/green teardrop prisms. - I like the black rhinestones. The little teardrops look really pretty in the package, unfortunately as soon as I put the top coat on the color came off.

8/23/10 - Lots of New Goodies

So today I received a free sample pack from Viva La Nails. They send the samples to bloggers and youtube users for review. You can check them out here: http://www.vivalanails.co.uk/samples.html


All you have to do is pay shipping(which is really cheap), link back to their site on your blog or youtube and then write a review of the products. I received 16 packs of different products. Now the only question that remains is what am I going to try first.

8/22/10 - Today's Goodies

Got a couple of new polishes today.

Wet N Wild - Night Prowl - This is a magenta glitter with a black base

Wet N Wild - Sparked - A pink glitter in a clear base

8/22/10 - Today's Mani

Wet N Wild - Black Crème - this is my absolute favorite black. Its super opaque in one coat and is way shiny without a top coat. I don't know what happened in the pic, but it doesn't actually look filmy in real life.

Nubar - Hologram Glitter - I was originally disappointed that this wasn't actually a holo glitter. But now that I've tried it, I love it. It is so sparkly its amazing and in the sun its just wow. This is now my favorite silver glitter. I wish the pic could show its actual sparkliness (if sparkliness isn't a word, it is now :) )

Earlier I tried the Pure Ice green I bought the other day. The color is awesome, a sage green metallic. The application on the other hand is terrible. It is gloopy. It clumped, bubbled, streaked and actually puckered on my nail. I don't think I will be trying anymore of this brand.

8/20/10 - Today's Mani

There isn't one. I did something last night I've never done before. I did a mani that was so ugly I had to take it off as soon as I was done, by that time it was too late to start on something new. So today my nails are going commando :)

8/19/10 - New Goodies

For some reason I'm in a totally green mood tonight. I just picked up three new green polishes

Pure Ice - First Time
Sally Hansen Hi Definition - Hi Def (I know that seems like a weird name for it since that's also the brand but it seems that's it name)
Petites - Candy Green

And a post script on the Purple Reign mani. Although I really like the color and I did just buy a new shade, I have a problem with Pure Ice's staying power. I only had it on for two days and the color is completely gone from the tips of my nails. I've never had a polish last for such a short amount of time. Hopefully it was because I used only one coat and it will work better with two.

Anyway, here are the new polishes

8/18/10 - Today's Mani

This one is a little messy I did really it really late last night (or I guess I should say really early this morning)

Pure Ice - Purple Reign - I really love this color. Its not like anything else I have and I really love the little gold sparklies. This was my first time using Pure Ice. Its a great formula, this is with only one coat.

8/16/10 - New Goodies

Well a quick trip to Walmart for cat food has resulted of course with new goodies :)

Pure Ice - Cheatin - I think I already have a couple of polishes that are similar to this but hey, can't have too much purple glitter :)

I've never used Pure Ice before, so I'm looking forward to trying out a new brand

China Glaze - Bogie - this is a really pretty amethyst shimmer from the Vintage Vixen collection

Orly - Goth - Black base with silver glitter

Nubar - Torrid Red - I love this color

8/9/10 - Swatches of Recent Hauls

Nubar - Torrid Red - I'm not much into reds but I love this one. This is with one coat and no top coat. Its actually little darker and more burgundyish than the pic shows

Nubar - Meadow Sparkle - This is a little lighter than I thought it was, but I still like it

Nubar - Hologram Glitter - I'm disappointed with this one, its just a plain silver glitter and there is no holo to it.

OPI - Yodel Me On My Cell - I like this one.

OPI - Ski Teal We Drop - I really like this one, its not like any other color I have.

8/9/10 - Today's Haul

I got three new Nubars today

Meadow Sparkle - a really pretty grass green glitter
Hologram Glitter - this is a silver silver holo
Torrid Red - a really great dark wine red

8/8/10 - Today's Haul

So I went up to Ulta today to check out the new OPI Swiss Collection. There were not any colors that jumped out at me and said WOW, but I did get Ski Teal We Drop - a teal blue creme and Yodel Me On My Cell - a teal blue shimmer. Ulta was having an OPI gift with purchase so I also go minis of Brisbane Bronze, Bogota Blackberry and Black Cherry Chutney.

8/2/10 - Today's Mani

Nubar - Vaso - This is the medium/light purple from the Venetian Glass Collection. I love this polish. The texture is so awesome its like a foil/shimmer/glitter polish. This is with two coats and no top coat. The only problem I have with this polish is it really doesn't clean up very well. It seems to spread the sparklies around more than clean it up. But a little messiness is worth it for this one.

8/1/2010 - Todays Mani part 2

Alrighty then. So while I was organizing my polishes I got inspired and now I have a totally new mani for today.

China Glaze - Aqua Baby
Sinful Colors - What's Your Name - Its hard to tell in the pic, but this has blue glitter in it

8/1/2010 - Today's Mani

I don't know why, but I don't like having just one color on my nails. So I've added Nubar Sunset Matte to yesterday's Caramello. Not my best combination, but its okay.
