Nfu Oh - 61 - This is a silver holo. Application was tricky but well worth it.

8-19-11 = Today's Mani

I couldn't wait to try out the Nfu Ohs. Today I went with 51. This is a very sheer polish, this is with two coats but it definitely could have used three. The application is great though and I love the purple and burgundy mix.

8-18-11 = New Goodies & Todays Mani

Lots going on today. So we'll start with the mani. I did this mani using colors my son Derek chose.

Milani - Good Morning Sunshine - This is a yellow/gold shimmer. Pretty good application, it was streaky on the first coat but by the third it worked nicely.

Milani - Pool Party - This is a very very sheer light blue. Nice application, but requires a lot of coats because of its sheerness




Now for the Goodies

Last night I stopped by Walgreens. They have Sinful Colors on sale for .99

Sinful Colors - Beautiful Girl - This is a medium pink creme

Sinful Colors - Pull Over This is a medium yellow creme

Wet N Wild - Tickled Pink - This is a light pink creme



And today the mailman brought me some very nice goodies.

Nfu Oh - 51 - This is a sheer purple base with burgundyish flakies

8-17-11 - Pink Wednesday

Its Wednesday time for some pink

Finger Paints - Art You Kidding Me - This is a dark pink creme. This is a one coat polish, great coverage and application. I always what great polish Finger Paints is.

Finger Paints - Stunning Stiletto - This is a medium gray creme. Great coverage and application.

8-15-11 - Today's Mani

So for today I did something a little different. Although I definitely need to work on keeping my lines straight :)

OPI - Suzi Skis The Pyrenees - This is a dark charcoal creme

China Glaze - Riveter's Rouge - This is a red with silver micro glitter. Its a little thin but over all has nice application and coverage.

8-14-11 = Today's Mani

Well I couldn't wait to try to Pair'em Scare'em pack so today I have a glowy mani.

So we have OPI Zom-Body To Love glow in the dark polish. This goes on with a greenish tint and tries matte. I took all of the pics without a top coat. Then on top of the Zom-Body is Black Shatter

8-13-11 - Today's Mani & New Goodies

So I have some new goodies to share. Yesterday I stopped by Beauty First and picked a few things

OPI - Uh Oh Roll Down the Window. From the Touring America collection this is a medium olive green creme. And I just have to say, this is one of the best polish names I've seen. I have to laugh every time when I see it.

OPI - French Quarter for Your Thoughts - From the Touring American collection this is listed as a gray creme but to me it seems a bit more on the taupe side.

OPI - Its My Year - From the Miss Universe Collection - this is a pinkish purple polish loaded with gold micro glitter/shimmer

OPI - Swimsuit ... Nailed It - From the Miss Universe Collection - this is a marine blue micro glitter shimmer.



Then today I took a trip to Ulta and came away it a couple of things.

OPI - Roadhouse Blues - From the Touring America Collection - this is listed as a navy blue creme but it looks more on the purple side to me.

Also I found an OPI two pack apparently for Halloween called Pair'em Scare'em containing a Glow In The Dark called Zom Body To Love and Black Shatter



And now for today's mani I used the OPI - This My Year. The application and coverage for this polish is very good. I'm kind of so-so on this one though. Its nice but from the bottle I was expecting it to be a darker purple and not so pink and the intense gold shimmer kind of reminds me of both OPIs own Rally Pretty Pink and Zoya Faye. I think I'd like this more as an accent color than by itself.

8-10-11 - Pink Wednesday

So I've been battling a headache for the past three days so I'm going to get to it.

Essie - Pretty Edgy - This is a very pretty grassy green. The formula is a bit runny but over all it has pretty good application (little drippy at times) and good coverage. Its a two coat polish.

OPI - Alpine Snow - This is a very good white. Great coverage and application. It was opaque over the green in two coats.

OPI - Sparrow Me The The Drama - This is an awesome medium pink polish. I would have to say this is my favorite pink. Great application and coverage.

Kiss - Floral Nail Stickers

8-4-11 = Today's Mani

For today I decided to do a mani that matches the shoes I'm going to wear to work tomorrow.

OPI - Planks A Lot - This is a medium purple creme. Great application and coverage.

Bundle Monster plate BM211 with black Konad stamping polish.

8-3-11 = Pink Wednesday

I thought I'd do something a little different for today's pink mani, but it didn't turn out quite as well as I had hoped. But anyway

OPI - Russian Navy - This is a dark blue shimmer with just a touch of pink micro glitter

China Glaze - Awakening - This is a rose pink with gold shimmer.

8-2-11 - A Comparison

OPI Addict asked to see a comparison of Finger Paints Vintage Velvet and OPI Jade is the New Black and here it is.

Index Finger & Ring Finger - Vintage Velvet
Pinky & Middle Finger - Jade is the New Black

These two really are not very similar. Vintage Velvet has a blue tint to it leaning it actually more toward a teal and Jade is the New Black is a true grassy green.


If there is a comparison or swatch anyone would like to see, and I have the colors, I would be happy to do it.

8-1-11 - Today's Mani

So for today i tried out on of the new polishes I got over the weekend. This one really intrigued me as I haven't really seen anything this color.

Finger Paints - Vintage Velvet. This is a muted dusty green. I really like this color. Its unique with great application and coverage. Here I used 2 coats with 2 coats of Seche Vite.
